The rental price, rental dates, any deposit, and any optional services or charges must be confirmed with the customer before the vehicle is handed over. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the rental charge is payable before or at vehicle collection. The customer should obtain a receipt or written confirmation of payment. Fuel, Zanzibar driving permits, delivery outside the included service area, additional drivers, and other optional services are not included unless expressly stated in the booking confirmation. Any cancellation, refund, or booking-change terms agreed for this booking should be recorded in writing.

The customer must collect and return the vehicle at the agreed locations, dates, and times. The customer must contact Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental as soon as possible if a delay or change is expected. Any extension must be approved in writing. Any late-return fee must be disclosed and agreed before rental. If a fee has been agreed, it will be recorded: The vehicle must be returned with its keys and documents and in substantially the same condition as at collection, allowing for ordinary wear and tear. The vehicle condition, existing damage, fuel level, and odometer reading should be recorded at handover and return. Photos may be taken with both parties’ awareness.

Mileage is unlimited unless the booking confirmation states otherwise. The customer is responsible for fuel used during the rental. The customer must use the correct fuel, take reasonable care of the vehicle, lock it when unattended, and park in safe, lawful and secure areas. The customer must not use the vehicle for racing, off-road driving where not permitted, towing, unlawful purposes, or any activity prohibited by the rental agreement or applicable insurance terms. The customer must not sub-rent, transfer, or allow an unauthorized person to drive the vehicle.

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS Only the customer and additional drivers expressly approved and recorded by Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental may drive the vehicle. Each driver must hold a valid driving license accepted for driving in Zanzibar and meet applicable legal requirements and the rental company’s eligibility rules. The customer must present their original driving license and passport or other accepted identification at collection. An international driving permit, where required, must be accompanied by the relevant original national license. A Zanzibar driving permit may be required. Any permit assistance and fee must be confirmed before collection. The customer must not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drive dangerously, exceed legal speed limits, or ignore traffic laws, signs, or police instructions.

INSURANCE AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY The vehicle is insured under the applicable policy arranged with Jubilee, subject to the actual policy wording, limits, exclusions, conditions, and the driver’s compliance with those terms. This agreement does not expand the insurer’s cover. The customer should ask Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental to explain the applicable cover, exclusions, and any customer excess/deductible before signing. Any Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), theft cover/waiver, third-party liability cover, excess amount, or other insurance benefit applies only if confirmed by the applicable policy or written rental terms. The customer may be responsible for loss, damage, costs, or insurance excess to the extent provided by the applicable policy and law, including where cover is invalidated or excluded. No fixed excess amount is stated here unless separately confirmed in writing. The customer must promptly report any accident, theft, attempted theft, damage, or third-party claim to Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental and the police or relevant authorities where required. The customer must not admit liability or agree a settlement on behalf of the company or insurer without authorization. The customer must cooperate with reasonable accident, theft, and insurance reporting procedures and provide accurate details and documents. Insurance exclusions and customer liability must be explained in accordance with the actual Jubilee policy. Do not rely on verbal statements that contradict the policy wording.

The customer must contact Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental promptly if a warning light appears, the vehicle becomes unsafe, or a breakdown occurs. Do not continue driving if it may cause further damage or create danger. Roadside assistance arrangements and contact instructions will be provided at handover. Any stated 24-hour assistance is subject to the service actually available for the vehicle and location. In an accident, the customer must stop safely, assist injured persons where possible, contact emergency services/police when required, obtain relevant details, and notify Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental promptly. Repairs, towing, replacement vehicles, and related costs must be authorized by Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.

Free delivery and collection are available at Zanzibar Airport, seaport terminals, and agreed locations within Stone Town, subject to confirmation at booking. Delivery or collection at other locations may incur an additional fee. The amount and location must be agreed in writing before the service. Any out-of-hours or midnight service charge must be disclosed and agreed before the booking is confirmed. Agreed charge, if any.

The customer is responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle. The customer should check the vehicle carefully at return. The customer is responsible for traffic fines, parking penalties, tolls, and other charges arising from their use of the vehicle during the rental, to the extent permitted by law. The customer must not use the vehicle for illegal activities, carry prohibited items, drive while impaired, or use the vehicle in a manner that breaches applicable law or the insurance policy.

Gravity Zanzibar Car Rental may terminate the rental and seek return of the vehicle where there is a material breach of this agreement, unlawful use, a serious safety concern, non-payment, or a reasonable concern that the vehicle is at risk. Where reasonably practicable and safe, the company will contact the customer and explain the issue before arranging recovery. Any recovery must be carried out lawfully. Any unused rental amount, recovery cost, or other charge will be handled in accordance with the booking terms, applicable law, and the circumstances of termination.

I confirm that I have read and understood this agreement, the agreed rental price and dates, the vehicle condition recorded at handover, and the insurance terms and exclusions explained to me. I confirm that the information and documents I have provided are accurate.
